Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kapi ("we", "us") about using Kapi Learn. By using the service you agree to them. If you are a student, your school or teacher set up your class; if you are a teacher or school, additional terms may apply to your Kapi Studio workspace.
What Kapi Learn is
Kapi Learn lets students join classes with a code or QR invite from their teacher, do lessons their teacher created, and keep their progress across devices. Kapi Learn is in active development and is currently offered free of charge.
Accounts
- You sign in with a Google account, normally provided by your school.
- Keep your account to yourself. Do not sign in as someone else.
- Class codes are for the students they were given to. Do not share them outside your class.
- Schools and teachers manage their own classes and may remove students from them.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break, overload, or try to get around the security of the service.
- Access other people's data or try to.
- Use the service to harass, bully, or harm others.
- Copy or redistribute lesson content outside your class without permission from whoever created it.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Lesson content
Lessons belong to the teachers, schools, and organizations that create them. Kapi does not claim ownership of lesson content. You get access to lessons through your class membership, for your own learning.
Your data
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Service availability
We work to keep Kapi Learn available and your progress safe, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Lesson content is created by teachers, and we do not guarantee its accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kapi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Because Kapi Learn is currently free, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending or changing the service
You can stop using Kapi Learn at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms. We may change or discontinue features as the service develops; if we ever discontinue the service itself, we will give schools and teachers reasonable notice so they can export what they need.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be announced to schools and teachers ahead of time. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
